The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Santa Margarita's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Golo Duarte scored to the left of an out of position Pontus Nordström, making the score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andréas Hasselqvist in the 22nd minute of play forced CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's goalkeeper Duarte Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eduardo De Francesco ran over to the corner to take the kick. Santa Margarita's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
