Edwin van der Sar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andreas Landgren's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Manchester United FC's Edwin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witomir Pisarczyk in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute Taisto Pentsinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pontus Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taisto Pentsinen in the 33rd minute of play forced Santa Margarita's goalkeeper Pontus Nordström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edwin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Lordi in the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Valdemar Kuoppala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pontus Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Taisto Pentsinen hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Eero Uusipaavalniemi hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Valdemar Kuoppala made the kick off in the second half. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
