Victor Lucila took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Long Yuan De. Long Yuan De dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Edwin 雷岩 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th match minute, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liviu Frumușanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute of the match, Zarando Eguizabal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dinu Oardă saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Liviu Frumușanu in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Long Yuan De prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Astillero del Guayas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ernest Oprescu was slow to take the kick. During this time MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's players had a chance to rest. After some careless play in the Astillero del Guayas defense, Victor Lucila kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Long Yuan De. The Astillero del Guayas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Long Yuan De should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the match, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goal looked a bit too open when Ulizes Sola came free, but Dinu Oardă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Baldeón Bretal in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Edwin 雷岩. Long Yuan De stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Liviu Frumușanu's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Astillero del Guayas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zarando Eguizabal in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Frumușanu in the 39th minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Long Yuan De to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florin Ciorobîtcă kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Liviu Frumușanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Long Yuan De having to interfere. In the 45th minute Liviu Frumușanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Long Yuan De saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baldeón Bretal charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldeón Bretal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, Baldeón Bretal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute, one of Astillero del Guayas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Astillero del Guayas. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Liviu Frumușanu made the kick off in the second half. Liviu Frumușanus short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Long Yuan De to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bagui Lizana's late challenge caught a MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bagui Lizana helped the player get up and apologised. Bagui Lizana hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Long Yuan De had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Liviu Frumușanu. The supporters of MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV booed when Astillero del Guayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulizes Sola didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Liviu Frumușanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was a well-played corner which Mădălin Bărbuceanu managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 99 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin 雷岩 came free, but Long Yuan De reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
