Christophe Troxler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Guadalupe in the 14th minute of play. Petru Nisporeanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guillelme Lomas in the 19th minute. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Petru Nisporeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Álvarez in the 22nd minute of play. Christophe Troxler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Örjan Forssell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
