If Reuben Meade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Felipe Carballo got a throw-in 10 minutes in the game and the ball was received by José Luis Rodríguez. After a rather tough play, Montevideo City Torque's Benito Gallegos got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Joseph Gayoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristiano Aveiro made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Agustín Álvarez sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute Guillelme Lomas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Aveiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Montevideo City Torque's Christophe Troxler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 32nd minute of play. Ekain Menendez kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Brent-Jan Van den Driesch made in the 43rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Nacional's Xu Sha. A collision led to Nacional getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Walter Geromel hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agustín Álvarez in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Aveiro saved Nacional from getting behind. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Grabiel Escorcia to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Grabiel Escorcia got free with Christophe Troxler in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristiano Aveiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reuben Meade in the 57th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Montevideo City Torque's goal looked a bit too open when Grabiel Escorcia came free, but Christophe Troxler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Guillelme Lomas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nacional made a substitution. Walme Yurre replaced Mendiko Bueres. A collision led to Montevideo City Torque getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Guillelme Lomas hit a great ball. Grabiel Escorcia might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christophe Troxler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grabiel Escorcia ran back to his position shaking his head. Montevideo City Torque's Christophe Troxler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 69th minute of play. Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillelme Lomas in the 78th minute of play forced Nacional's goalkeeper Cristiano Aveiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 minutes, Gu Sha Zhen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montevideo City Torque and the Nacional players grew even worse after the yellow card. 84 minutes into the game, one of Montevideo City Torque:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 86th minute, Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Cristiano Aveiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillelme Lomas in the 90th minute of play. Guillelme Lomas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Aveiro having to interfere. Montevideo City Torque's Christophe Troxler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ekain Menendez in the 95th minute of play.
