If Remy Van Eyken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC Bredene's Peter Bautmans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save FC Bredene from getting a goal against them. In the 7th minute, Kurt Slaghmeulders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waut Rouckeloos kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 13th minute of the match, Conrad Vrolijcx tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Peter Bautmans saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Remy Van Eyken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC Bredene's Peter Bautmans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save FC Bredene from getting a goal against them. Peter Bautmans made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Remy Van Eyken sent off a good shot on target. 19 minutes into the match, Remy Van Eyken dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Peter Bautmans, 1-0. In the 21st match minute, FC Bredene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre Maerschalck to maneuver through the defense. Remy Van Eyken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pierre Maerschalck made in the 27th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Arnaud Schouters however managed to control. Peter Bautmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remy Van Eyken in the 29th minute of play. Remy Van Eyken spun around in front of the goal 29 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of FC Bredene's goal. In the 32nd minute, one of FC Bredene:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Bredene. Remy Van Eyken shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Wellington do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, FC Bredene's goal looked a bit too open when Remy Van Eyken came free, but Peter Bautmans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conrad Vrolijcx blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Peter Bautmans having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Remy Van Eyken kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Peter Bautmans. That made the score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Remy Van Eyken made the kick off in the second half. Peter Bautmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remy Van Eyken in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute Remy Van Eyken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Bautmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remy Van Eyken in the 56th minute of play forced FC Bredene's goalkeeper Peter Bautmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Bautmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remy Van Eyken in the 60th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, FC Bredene's goal looked a bit too open when Remy Van Eyken came free, but Peter Bautmans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remy Van Eyken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Haithabu FC's Rigoberto Piearres was substituted for Remy Van Eyken. After 69th play minutes Rigoberto Piearres shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Peter Bautmans and just under the crossbar into goal. 73 minutes into the game, Arnaud Schouters was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Bredene's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Haithabu FC the free kick. Arnaud Schouters hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Rigoberto Piearres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Bautmans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Bredene's Waut Rouckeloos got a free kick in the 75th minute. A collision led to FC Bredene getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Waut Rouckeloos hit a great ball. Haithabu FC made a substitution. Gervasio Albonico replaced Kurt Slaghmeulders. The supporters of Haithabu FC booed when FC Bredene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Van Den Wijngaert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haithabu FC were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after FC Bredene's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Conrad Vrolijcx took the corner. Peter Bautmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Piearres in the 85th minute of play. Haithabu FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Conrad Vrolijcx in the 86th minute. Haithabu FC's Conrad Vrolijcx was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Peter Bautmans in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 88th minute Rigoberto Piearres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Bautmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johnny Van Den Wijngaert's late challenge caught a Haithabu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johnny Van Den Wijngaert helped the player get up and apologised. Johnny Van Den Wijngaert kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. When Haithabu FC's Rigoberto Piearres in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Bredene's goalie prevented a goal. Rigoberto Piearres took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peter Bautmans. Peter Bautmans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Haithabu FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
