Brend Vanden Driessche made a great header on Limburg United's corner, it was just that Genk's Jannes Van Leempoel managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Suat Kaya in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sean Van Dijck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thomas-Jan Van de Weijer kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. With a little luck, Genk's Jannes Van Leempoel got control of the ball when Joris De Raeve tried to sneak it across the goal line. Suat Kaya might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sean Van Dijck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The corner led Genk's Loui Wouqier to fire away a dangerous shot which Sean Van Dijck despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Brend Vanden Driessche dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jannes Van Leempoel, 1-2. Limburg United were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Genk's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fabian Orellana took the corner. In the 93rd minute, Rain De Hond hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jannes Van Leempoel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joris De Raeve in the 94th minute. Brend Vanden Driessche might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jannes Van Leempoel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brend Vanden Driessche ran back to his position shaking his head. Limburg United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
