Waud De Geyter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martijn Makaay, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Fryderyk Mondrowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute Loid De Keuster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taco Uebels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Silver Squad AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Izydor Czysta to maneuver through the defense. Taco Uebels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loid De Keuster in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Stefan Pieters made a precise shot to the right of Waud De Geyter. Silver Squad AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Loid De Keuster recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Silver Squad AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Åke Fransson came free, but Waud De Geyter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AC Pitt Bier's Taco Uebels played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loid De Keuster in the 39th minute of play. Waud De Geyter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stefan Pieters in the 41st minute. Koen Bouwman hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Taco Uebels took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frans Van Caubergen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Donny Slot made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Loid De Keuster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taco Uebels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute of the match, Benjamin Carberry tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Taco Uebels saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 66th minute of the match Silver Squad AFC got a corner. AC Pitt Bier's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Henrik Ooms ran over to the corner to take the kick. Waud De Geyter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donny Slot in the 68th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Donny Slot's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Waud De Geyter was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. When Damazy Radzyminski came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Silver Squad AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damazy Radzyminski couldn't finish the play. AC Pitt Bier's Juan Badr was substituted for Gerard Lever. Waud De Geyter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martijn Makaay in the 76th minute of play. Silver Squad AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrik Ooms was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th match minute, AC Pitt Bier was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Koen Bouwman to maneuver through the defense. Silver Squad AFC's Henrik Ooms couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 95th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for AC Pitt Bier. Silver Squad AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
