Willy Van Linthout showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martijn Makaay, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. Stefan Pieters could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Willy Van Linthout made a huge save. With a little luck, Bruly's Willy Van Linthout got control of the ball when Stefan Pieters tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jullian Vranx in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Taco Uebels saved AC Pitt Bier from getting behind. Willy Van Linthout came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Pitt Bier's Donny Slot. But to his dismay, Donny Slot quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Willy Van Linthout took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martijn Makaay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donny Slot in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Willy Van Linthout, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 26th minute Martijn Makaay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willy Van Linthout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martijn Makaay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willy Van Linthout having to interfere. AC Pitt Bier's Taco Uebels played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Fiedler in the 31st minute of play. Stefan Pieters succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 33rd playminute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stefan Pieters got free with Willy Van Linthout in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Willy Van Linthout successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 43 minutes into the match, Bruly's goalkeeper Willy Van Linthout had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stefan Pieters.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donny Slot to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brend Schrevens in the 53rd minute of play forced AC Pitt Bier's goalkeeper Taco Uebels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruly's Willy Van Linthout played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martijn Makaay in the 55th minute of play. The supporters of AC Pitt Bier booed when Bruly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Gressens didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Taco Uebels managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Bruly's Paul Fiedler fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of AC Pitt Bier booed when Bruly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thys Mangelschot didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67thth minute of the game Martijn Makaay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bruly's Willy Van Linthout was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Willy Van Linthout made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martijn Makaay in the 69th minute of play. Martijn Makaay scored 4-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Willy Van Linthout, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 79 played minutes AC Pitt Bier got a freekick which was hit by Juan Badr. Willy Van Linthout stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martijn Makaay's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Pieters in the 87th minute of play forced Bruly's goalkeeper Willy Van Linthout to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Willy Van Linthout took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martijn Makaay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
