He walked away shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Lions United's Pan Jian Yong slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Freddy Tilens. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by KFC Paal-Tervant's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gao Cheng Yun was slow to take the kick. During this time Lions United's players had a chance to rest. Steve De Wilde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Verschelde in the 12th minute of the match. Steve De Wilde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shaun McLae in the 13th minute of play. Freddy Tilens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pan Jian Yong in the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, 李卫竞 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Steve De Wilde was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A collision led to Lions United getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Firmo Linde hit a great ball. Steve De Wilde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Verschelde in the 21st minute of the match. Steve De Wilde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shaun McLae, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Freddy Tilens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pan Jian Yong in the 28th minute of the match. Pan Jian Yong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Tilens having to interfere. Steve De Wilde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Davus went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Lions United's Steve De Wilde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Davus in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, KFC Paal-Tervant's goal looked a bit too open when Pan Jian Yong came free, but Freddy Tilens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute of the match Lions United got a corner. KFC Paal-Tervant's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gao Cheng Yun ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of KFC Paal-Tervant's goalie and right to Leon Eleazar. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. KFC Paal-Tervant's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Niels Vandamme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lions United's supporters rose to their feet, but Niels Vandamme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddy Tilens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pan Jian Yong scored 2-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Freddy Tilens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pan Jian Yong stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jose Verschelde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Freddy Tilens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pan Jian Yong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Axel Davus took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Steve De Wilde to make any attempt to save it. Steve De Wilde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Davus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute Shaun McLae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve De Wilde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pan Jian Yong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the match, Lions United's goal looked a bit too open when Shaun McLae came free, but Steve De Wilde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
