The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Lewandowski got free with Pontus Sellberg in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 12 played minutes SMOCZANKA MIELEC got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Malafaia. In the 12th minute of the match Jakub Kuszczak sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maksymilian Oliszewski skillfully saved the ball. Pontus Sellberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cezary Chrzan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pontus Sellberg came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Cezary Chrzan. But to his dismay, Cezary Chrzan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sylwester Klimkiewicz in the 19th minute of play forced Pogoń1945Staszów's goalkeeper Pontus Sellberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Giorgos Psichogiopoulos in the 23rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Bertil Ekström. Pontus Sellberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sylwester Klimkiewicz in the 28th minute of play. The corner ended in Jacinto Pinto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pogoń1945Staszów's Pontus Sellberg did a great save. 92 minutes into the match, Pogoń1945Staszów's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Marchefka came free, but Pontus Sellberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pontus Sellberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerzy Marchefka in the 94th minute of play. There was no doubt that SMOCZANKA MIELEC were the better team. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
