Tayfun Tanfer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhou Chang Kun, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The supporters of Cappadocia FC booed when MarineerS FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucien Vercalsteren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Lucien Vercalsteren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gonzalo-Martin Gonzalez Del Solar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute of the match, Mecnun Seha got a very nice opportunity to score, but Juan Egoitz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. MarineerS FK's John Antolin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Juan Egoitz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Žydrūnas Pauža was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Rundell in the 70th minute of play forced Cappadocia FC's goalkeeper Juan Egoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 played minutes Cappadocia FC got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo-Martin Gonzalez Del Solar.
