Galatasaray SK's attentive Stepan Kolyshko managed to snatch the ball when Filiberto Raulo made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Latif Al Fakir successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Galatasaray SK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mutlu Kanat was slow to take the kick. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anders Målare made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Hagi got free with Mehmet Hakkı Yörük in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Galatasaray SK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valeriy Chernetsov in the 56th minute. After 59 played minutes ÜSTEĞMEN FK got a freekick which was hit by Ergün Tonguç. ÜSTEĞMEN FK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Anders Målare scored to the left of an out of position Mehmet Hakkı Yörük, making the score, 1-1. Cristiano Hagi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Mehmet Hakkı Yörük made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Cristiano Hagi could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Mehmet Hakkı Yörük however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Galatasaray SK's zone, Marcial Meleon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Latif Al Fakir came out of the goal and Marcial Meleon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ÜSTEĞMEN FK had won after a very even match.
