The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Marcos Berdoi got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Pankracy Glogowski was a little too slow when Alfonso Cantillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 8th minute, Alfonso Cantillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pankracy Glogowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. With a little luck, Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski got control of the ball when Alfonso Cantillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd minute Eustaquio Jaizki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell Trengereid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Alfonso Cantillo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pankracy Glogowski, 3-0. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Cantillo in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Alfonso Cantillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Alfonso Cantillo sped through Club Atlético Atlanta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pankracy Glogowski. In the 42nd minute, Valentyn Lobanovsjkyi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AntraX FDP. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfonso Cantillo to make the kick off. Alfonso Cantillo was shown his second yellow card after 53 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. AntraX FDP.'s Valentyn Lobanovsjkyi got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigio Erramu to maneuver through the defense. AntraX FDP.'s José-Francisco Durazno was substituted for Serafín Alcalde. Remigio Erramu kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Erick Sandoval kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Club Atlético Atlanta's Santos Oskitz got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edgard Barros made in the 75th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Remigio Erramu however managed to control. Ovidio Nicholas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Pankracy Glogowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, AntraX FDP.'s goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Berdoi came free, but Kjell Trengereid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ovidio Nicholas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Glogowski having to interfere.
