When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Aquiles Xabat sped through MARTINETA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bartolo Beliran. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Cesaro in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Cunha saved Peñaloza from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Cesaro in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th minute, Maximino Venceslao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peñaloza's goalkeeper Alexandre Cunha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dionisio Navarro hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Xabat in the 21st minute of play forced MARTINETA's goalkeeper Bartolo Beliran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Carlos Cesaro made a precise shot to the right of Alexandre Cunha. Peñaloza's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The supporters of MARTINETA booed when Peñaloza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Xabat didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Carlos Cesaro made a precise shot to the right of Alexandre Cunha. Peñaloza's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The Peñaloza players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MARTINETA were winning 1-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Cesaro was the one to do the kick off. Bartolo Beliran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquiles Xabat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Peñaloza getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Eduardo Castro hit a great ball. A hard shot 55 in the game by Carlos Cesaro from a close distance when the talented Alexandre Cunha managed to make a qualified save. Peñaloza's players were relieved. Carlos Cesaro had several of the Peñaloza's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 55 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-3 score and a disappointed Alexandre Cunha as he didn't even see the shot coming. MARTINETA's Carlos Cesaro suffered a sore knee after 58 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Robert Dominguez charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robert Dominguez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. MARTINETA made a substitution. Alexis González replaced Carlos Cesaro. With 62 minutes on the clock, Rafal Kaszubowski commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Peñaloza a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eduardo Castro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MARTINETA's Bartolo Beliran. 3-3. A collision led to Peñaloza getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Maximino Venceslao hit a great ball. Albino Eliu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alexandre Cunha came out and tried to block the shot, but Albino Eliu slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 69th minute. A collision led to Peñaloza getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Aquiles Xabat hit a great ball. MARTINETA's attentive Albino Eliu managed to snatch the ball when Eduardo Castro made a throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game. Albino Eliu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Cunha having to interfere. A collision led to Peñaloza getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Ovidio Jerrold hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, MARTINETA's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Xabat came free, but Bartolo Beliran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Peñaloza:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MARTINETA:s goal. When the match had been going on for 83 minutes, MARTINETA's Lv Qiang Xiao got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alexandre Cunha. Lv Qiang Xiao came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alexandre Cunha could save by the left post. In the 89th minute of the match MARTINETA got a corner. Peñaloza's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lv Qiang Xiao ran over to the corner to take the kick. MARTINETA's Lv Qiang Xiao was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alexandre Cunha in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Maximino Venceslao made in the 90th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Eduardo Castro however managed to control. After a rather tough play, MARTINETA's Nacho Roca got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Simon Oihan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Maximino Venceslao fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peñaloza's protests and gave Maximino Venceslao a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of MARTINETA booed when Peñaloza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximino Venceslao didn't get a good kick on the ball. The MARTINETA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MARTINETA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
