After a rather tough play, Tigers of Bistritsa's Mito Chochkov got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8thth minute of the game Giovanni Motta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tigers of Bistritsa's Subin Dzhamalov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Pedro Coutinho's late challenge caught a Tigers of Bistritsa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Pedro Coutinho helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mito Chochkov during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mito Chochkov kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Tigers of Bistritsa's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Motta came free, but Subin Dzhamalov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Mito Chochkov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the game, Giovanni Motta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Subin Dzhamalov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 24 minutes into the match, Tigers of Bistritsa's goal looked a bit too open when Moisés das Neves came free, but Subin Dzhamalov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dida Taffarel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yoncho Georgiev in the 39th minute. Stoycho Dramov hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After 46 played minutes Tigers of Bistritsa got a freekick which was hit by Severin Manzurov. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yoncho Georgiev to make the kick off. Jenipapo SC's Dida Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severin Manzurov in the 54th minute of play. Armando Trevisan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Subin Dzhamalov having to make a save. If Giovanni Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dida Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severin Manzurov in the 69th minute of the match. Dido Trasiev took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dida Taffarel. Dida Taffarel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 78 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Severin Manzurov came free, but Dida Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Yoncho Georgiev came free, but Dida Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute Severin Manzurov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Mito Chochkov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovanni Motta in the 91st minute of play forced Tigers of Bistritsa's goalkeeper Subin Dzhamalov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute Yoncho Georgiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tigers of Bistritsa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vitan Haynadzhiev in the 95th minute. Tigers of Bistritsa's Vitan Haynadzhiev was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dida Taffarel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A hard and well directed shot from Vitan Haynadzhiev led 95 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Jenipapo SC's Dida Taffarel became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
