Åsnes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petter Vartdal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Vie kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Filomeno Firme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christer Waaler having to interfere. In the 20th minute David Reitan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Bastian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Åsnes's goalkeeper Christer Waaler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filomeno Firme. In the 26th minute, Jonathan Vie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulises Bastian was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 33rd minute David Reitan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Bastian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, AZURDUY F.C.'s Alonzo Baladi got a free kick in the 33rd minute. David Reitan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ulises Bastian. AZURDUY F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jon-Egil Gjelsvik hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the match, AZURDUY F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Vie came free, but Ulises Bastian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Petter Vartdal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The AZURDUY F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Åsnes were winning 0-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alejo Weterio was the one to do the kick off. Fredrik Hebnes charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fredrik Hebnes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jonathan Vie's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ulises Bastian firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 64th minute, Åsnes's Jonathan Vie ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ulises Bastian. Ulises Bastian yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Ulises Bastian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petter Vartdal in the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute David Reitan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Bastian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Åsnes could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than AZURDUY F.C. throughout the match.
