Thanks to some nice moves David Reitan could shoot a difficult shot in the 2nd minute, which Marcial Dantae however easily saved by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, David Reitan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åsnes's supporters rose to their feet, but David Reitan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcial Dantae breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcial Dantae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Vie in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Palermo getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Armando Ralondo hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the game, David Reitan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Marcial Dantae was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Petter Vartdals short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Marcial Dantae to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. David Reitan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Marcial Dantae skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Vie in the 36th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Marcial Dantae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcial Dantae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Vie in the 37th minute of the match. Morten Sundseth took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcial Dantae. Marcial Dantae dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Petter Vartdal to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcial Dantae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Reitan in the 51st minute of the match. Marcial Dantae showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Vie, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Petter Vartdal came free, but Marcial Dantae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcial Dantae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Morten Sundseth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Jonathan Vie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Åsnes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After 70 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Enekoitz. David Reitan scored 6-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcial Dantae, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcial Dantae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Vie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 82 minutes, Petter Vartdal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åsnes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petter Vartdal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcial Dantae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petter Vartdal in the 84th minute of the match. Jonathan Vie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Marcial Dantae tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Jonathan Vie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Dantae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Morten Sundseth came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Åsnes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Morten Sundseth couldn't finish the play. Marcial Dantae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Vie in the 95th minute of play. There was no doubt that Åsnes were the better team. Åsnes's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
