When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Umberto Dionísio sped through Hertha 1969's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christoph Heise. Christoph Heise didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anísio Alagoano went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Otto-Stephan Keck made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benedito Mineiro in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christoph Heise prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 82nd play minutes Benedito Mineiro shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Christoph Heise and just under the crossbar into goal. If Marcelo Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hertha 1969's Christoph Heise played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Mineiro in the 90th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Benedito Mineiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christoph Heise was relentless in the 91st minute of the game.
