The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hawelka Himalayan High's Fredrik Bäckström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Hawelka Himalayan High from getting a goal against them. Fredrik Bäckström was a little too slow when Lothar Bannert got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. With his leg Fredrik Bäckström managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Hertha 1969's Lothar Bannert fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hawelka Himalayan High's Fredrik Bäckström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Hawelka Himalayan High from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute Henrik Gorges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Bäckström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Örtlund in the 32nd minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Christoph Heise to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christoph Heise came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Hawelka Himalayan High's Lars Örtlund. But to his dismay, Lars Örtlund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The supporters of Hertha 1969 booed when Hawelka Himalayan High was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Byström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Hertha 1969's Burkhard Männer got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute, Lars Örtlund made a precise shot to the right of Christoph Heise. Hertha 1969's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After the first half Hawelka Himalayan High were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chad Pro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Lars Örtlund reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Christoph Heise. The goal made the score 1-4. The referee ignored Hawelka Himalayan High's protests and gave Leonardo Apelkvist a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st match minute, Hawelka Himalayan High was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Apelkvist to maneuver through the defense. Fredrik Bäckström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otto-Stephan Keck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 97 minutes, Adrian Byström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hawelka Himalayan High and the Hertha 1969 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hawelka Himalayan High's Adrian Byström got a free kick in the 97th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hawelka Himalayan High had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
