Ponte do Carro's Rodrigo Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Alcântara in the 6th minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrigo Amaro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodrigo Amaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbson Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidro Viana's late challenge caught a Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidro Viana helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rondinone F.C - FDFDF booed when Ponte do Carro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Róbson Prata took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rodrigo Amaro. Ponte do Carro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rômulo de Almeida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isidro Viana went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Rodrigo Amaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilson Paraibano in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34thth minute of the game Daniel Alcântara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ponte do Carro's Rodrigo Amaro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goal looked a bit too open when Róbson Prata came free, but Rodrigo Amaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Alcântara in the 40th minute of play forced Ponte do Carro's goalkeeper Rodrigo Amaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isidro Viana to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Nilson Paraibano took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Rodrigo Amaro to make any attempt to save it. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Daniel Alcântara was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 58th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a rather tough play, Ponte do Carro's Moisés Nogueira got a free kick in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Daniel Alcântara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodrigo Amaro. Ponte do Carro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Alcântara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. 71 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Alcântara came free, but Rodrigo Amaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Ponte do Carro's Rodrigo Amaro got control of the ball when Daniel Alcântara tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 86 played minutes Ponte do Carro got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Leão. After having played for 88 minutes, Falcão Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Falcão Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 89 minutes into the game, Ademar Figueiras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ponte do Carro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rondinone F.C - FDFDF the free kick. In the 89th minute, Ademar Figueiras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Ponte do Carro fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
