The audience thought a goal was coming when Raf De Muysere got free with Bill Severyns in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bill Severyns was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Raf De Muysere showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. Gregorie Kloots recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bill Severyns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boris Paelinck, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 38 played minutes SK Dreigoten got a freekick which was hit by Stein Vercouteren. After 41 minutes, Rajmond Beets mouthed his way into the referee's book. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gregorie Kloots to strike the kick off in the second half. KV Schoonwater's Jean Van Aerschot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cedric Van Landewijck in the 57th minute of play. One of SK Dreigoten:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of KV Schoonwater:s goal. The referee gave KV Schoonwater a penalty, 68 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Boris Paelinck, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SK Dreigoten's Bill Severyns. 2-2. In the 72nd minute, Boris Paelinck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KV Schoonwater fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. 75 minutes into the match, SK Dreigoten's goal looked a bit too open when Gregorie Kloots came free, but Bill Severyns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boris Paelinck scored 4-2 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bill Severyns, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 86 minutes into the match, SK Dreigoten's Jos Vercasteren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jean Van Aerschot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bill Severyns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorie Kloots in the 95th minute of the match.
