The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 17 minutes into the match, Club Almirante Brown's goalkeeper Americo Duardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mădălin Bănățeanu. 20 minutes into the game, Remigio Arixo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Almirante Brown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ASF BAIA MARE -MM- the free kick. After 20 played minutes Club Almirante Brown got a freekick which was hit by Remigio Arixo. In the 21st minute of the match, Mădălin Bănățeanu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Americo Duardo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mădălin Bănățeanu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Americo Duardo 23 minutes into the match. After 31 minutes of play, Club Almirante Brown's Octavio Stephen made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Octav Glăvan was left in no man's land by his defense there! ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Octav Glăvan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Lain in the 35th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Cătălin Octavian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Americo Duardo was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. 40 minutes into the match, Mădălin Bănățeanu notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Club Almirante Brown's Americo Duardo. Americo Duardo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Octav Glăvan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Stephen in the 48th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Octavio Stephen made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Club Almirante Brown's Federico Quinteros got a free kick in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mădălin Bănățeanu in the 55th minute of play forced Club Almirante Brown's goalkeeper Americo Duardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgard Rodas during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Club Almirante Brown's Edgard Rodas got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute, Edgard Rodas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvano Lidon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Octav Glăvan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 played minutes ASF BAIA MARE -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Irinel Ciorogaru. Edgard Rodas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Federico Quinteros fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Octav Glăvan, passed just outside the right post. The attack was good, but when Cătălin Octavian in the 87th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 89 minutes into the game, Delmar Lain cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Octav Glăvan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of ASF BAIA MARE -MM- booed when Club Almirante Brown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Lidon didn't get a good kick on the ball. ASF BAIA MARE -MM- succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Club Almirante Brown had controlled the match.
