Wiliam Favoretto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavian Cristian in the 26th minute of play. After 38 played minutes Armada got a freekick which was hit by Manole Nișu.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kléber Pernambucano to make the kick off. Váldson Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Classe A Futebol Clube's Wiliam Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorin Mereuță in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute of the match Armada got a corner. Classe A Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maxim Huștiu ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Maxim Huștiu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wiliam Favoretto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Classe A Futebol Clube booed when Armada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorin Mereuță didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72 minutes, Victor Iordănescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Armada and the Classe A Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marian Panaitescu's late challenge caught a Classe A Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marian Panaitescu helped the player get up and apologised. Marian Panaitescu kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Armada eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
