The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlo Colaneri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 7th match minute, Seggiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Apicella to maneuver through the defense. Anthony Presutti took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Blanco Vidales. Blanco Vidales dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When Xuoco Canal fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Astillero del Guayas's protests and gave Xuoco Canal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Xuoco Canal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th match minute, Seggiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Nardone to maneuver through the defense. Astillero del Guayas were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Seggiano's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Enrique Antonijoan took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Pablo-Enrique Oneca got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Carlo Colaneri quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Astillero del Guayas's Blanco Vidales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Presutti in the 30th minute of play. Anthony Presutti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blanco Vidales having to interfere. Will Robinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Blanco Vidales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Seggiano booed when Astillero del Guayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xuoco Canal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 39 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Zaquiel Boñar. Will Robinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blanco Vidales having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Xuoco Canal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
In the 53rd minute, Anthony Presutti made a precise shot to the right of Blanco Vidales. Astillero del Guayas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The supporters of Astillero del Guayas booed when Seggiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Apicella didn't get a good kick on the ball. Astillero del Guayas's Blanco Vidales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Presutti in the 69th minute of play. Seggiano's Carlo Colaneri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Seggiano from getting a goal against them. In the 74th match minute, Seggiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Pantalone to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Enrique Antonijoan from long distance, 76 minutes into the match, got Carlo Colaneri's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Pablo-Enrique Oneca lost his temper 78 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Astillero del Guayas! After a rather tough play, Seggiano's Aldo Andreoli got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute of the match, Diego Carredano got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carlo Colaneri was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 88 minutes into the game, Armando Pompilio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Blanco Vidales was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 96th match minute, Seggiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Andreoli to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute of the match Enrique Antonijoan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlo Colaneri skillfully saved the ball. 98 minutes had been played when some careless play by Seggiano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Enrique Antonijoan was slow to take the kick. During this time Astillero del Guayas's players had a chance to rest. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Seggiano fully deserved thier win.
