In the 26th match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Paulo Batista to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Agnaldo Vargas came free, but Blanco Vidales reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan-Angel Ordax came free, but Lauro Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Blanco Vidales was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Diego Cerezo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 41 minute of play. After 46 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Juan-Angel Ordax. Blanco Vidales was a little too slow when Agnaldo Vargas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 48th minute. The score was now 5-0. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agnaldo Vargas was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Cerezo in the 55th minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Blanco Vidales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Astillero del Guayas's Enrique Antonijoan got a free kick in the 57th minute. Blanco Vidales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agnaldo Vargas in the 59th minute of the match. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Deivid Queirós was substituted for Dudu Queiroz. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Wilson Vidal was substituted for Jailson de Carvalho. The referee showed Zuberoa Sanguino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zuberoa Sanguino hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Blanco Vidales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agnaldo Vargas in the 82nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agnaldo Vargas in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Blanco Vidales prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pablo-Enrique Oneca tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Blanco Vidales. An unnecessary self made goal, 8-0 in the 91st minute. 94 minutes into the game, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Agnaldo Vargas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Blanco Vidales made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. After 97 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Juan-Angel Ordax.
