In the 5th minute, Joaquim Espinosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute, SLB TELHA's Cesário Laureano seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cesário Laureano the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SLB TELHA protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cesário Laureano had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. MIT Craiova's Sergiu Taşcă got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernando Bento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iulian Burtea having to interfere. Fernando Bento's late challenge caught a MIT Craiova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Bento helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd match minute, SLB TELHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Bento to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to MIT Craiova getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Rareș Bîndean hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, MIT Craiova's Emil Glodeanu got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 41st match minute, SLB TELHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Modesto to maneuver through the defense. Remus Chilian's late challenge caught a SLB TELHA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remus Chilian helped the player get up and apologised. 47 minutes into the game, one of MIT Craiova:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Bento made a kick off. Cristian Moisil kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. A long shot from Cássio Silveira in the 57th minute of play was well struck, but Iulian Burtea made a really good save at the right post. In the 61st minute, Marcu Voitiş got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eusebiu Siniştean struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Manuel Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MIT Craiova. In the 67th minute Marcu Voitiş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Rareș Bîndean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Cássio Silveira in the 70th minute really tested Iulian Burtea's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to SLB TELHA getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. After 81 minutes, Emil Glodeanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MIT Craiova and the SLB TELHA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emil Glodeanu was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 88 played minutes MIT Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Emil Glodeanu. In the 91st match minute, MIT Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valer Papadima to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Modesto charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nuno Modesto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of MIT Craiova booed when SLB TELHA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Modesto didn't get a good kick on the ball. SLB TELHA played a much better game than MIT Craiova and deserved their victory. The MIT Craiova players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
