But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sérgio Chaves couldn't finish the play. If Maicon de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Perez came free, but Edvaldo Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Augusto Tinoco during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th minute, Zé Augusto Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramón Sampaio's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edvaldo Costa firmly grabbed it by the left post. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Pedrinho Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Branco in the 15th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Branco during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Emanuel Branco got a free kick in the 16th minute. Kauã Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maicon de Amorim in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedrinho Sergipano saved DIPLOMATA FC PAB from getting behind. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Maicon de Amorim sped through DIPLOMATA FC PAB's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedrinho Sergipano. After 22nd play minutes Maicon de Amorim shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Pedrinho Sergipano and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of DIPLOMATA FC PAB booed when Jovens Democratas MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otávio Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rdth minute of the game Maicon de Amorim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Pedrinho Sergipano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 36 minutes of play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Otávio Montenegro made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedrinho Sergipano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sérgio Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Sergipano having to interfere. Pedrinho Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maicon de Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. A collision led to DIPLOMATA FC PAB getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Samuel Palmeira hit a great ball. If Otávio Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Pedrinho Sergipano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save DIPLOMATA FC PAB from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dagoberto Perez during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Dagoberto Perez got a free kick in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goalkeeper Pedrinho Sergipano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maicon de Amorim. 60 minutes into the game, Doriva Hoffmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jovens Democratas MZC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in DIPLOMATA FC PAB fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! In the 61st minute there was a penalty for Jovens Democratas MZC. Maicon de Amorim stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pedrinho Sergipano. 0-5. Pedrinho Sergipano was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Sérgio Chaves capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sérgio Chaves really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Valdemar Guerra replaced Sérgio Chaves. Edvaldo Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramón Sampaio in the 69th minute of the match. Otávio Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jovens Democratas MZC's César Coelho was substituted for Claudinei Salles. After a rather tough play, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Samuel Palmeira got a free kick in the 76th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maicon de Amorim in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedrinho Sergipano saved DIPLOMATA FC PAB from getting behind. In the 79thth minute of the game Maicon de Amorim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Pedrinho Sergipano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Doriva Hoffmann got his second yellow card of the match in the 82nd minute. The referee ordered Doriva Hoffmann off the ground. A collision led to DIPLOMATA FC PAB getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Doriva Hoffmann hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Maicon de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jovens Democratas MZC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maicon de Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrinho Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emanuel Branco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Pedrinho Sergipano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Pedrinho Sergipano got control of the ball when Valdemar Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jovens Democratas MZC played a much better game than DIPLOMATA FC PAB and deserved their victory. The DIPLOMATA FC PAB players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
