Adolf Steimle kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fodil Mansouri got free with Muhammad Chan in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fodil Mansouri received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Muhammad Chan came out and tried to block the shot, but Fodil Mansouri slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. In the 15th minute, Radomir Kosowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute Stars were awarded a corner. Claudinei Damião went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Jean-Michel Nicolleau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Phenomenals FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean-Michel Nicolleau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Muhammad Chan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Halim Kader took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Seng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Adam Seng came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adam Seng couldn't finish the play. Khai Chuan's late challenge caught a Phenomenals FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Khai Chuan helped the player get up and apologised. Khai Chuan kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Fodil Mansouri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Muhammad Chan made a huge save. A collision led to Stars getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Bernt Willig hit a great ball. Halim Kader took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Siong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Muhammad Chan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcin Danisiewicz in the 43rd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fodil Mansouri was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Halim Kader successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 57 minutes into the match, Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Marcin Danisiewicz came free, but Muhammad Chan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Claudinei Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halim Kader saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 played minutes Abdellah Gourion shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Stars's Muhammad Chan to catch but Abdellah Gourion was lucky. It became 2-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. 95 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Stars's Jonathan Siong fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head.
