Igor Gilabert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Emeterio in the 8th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Frisco during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Funebrero FC's Kara-Murat Goiano managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pedro Bertol in the 11 minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elias Emeterio in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Igor Gilabert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Virgílio Bezerra hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Funebrero FC's Piarres Cabredo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pedro Bertol in the 18 minute of the game. If Elias Emeterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 21 minutes into the game, Benigno Claus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Funebrero FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estudiantes de la Plata the free kick. In the 24th minute, Kara-Murat Goiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Emeterio in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Igor Gilabert saved Estudiantes de la Plata from getting behind. In the 27th minute of the match Funebrero FC got a corner. Estudiantes de la Plata's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. German Tallia ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that German Tallia got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Igor Gilabert quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 29th minute, Elias Emeterio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Funebrero FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 32 minutes into the match, Elias Emeterio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Igor Gilabert. Estudiantes de la Plata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elias Emeterio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by German Tallia in the 35th minute of play forced Estudiantes de la Plata's goalkeeper Igor Gilabert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Eleder hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de la Plata's Fausto Weterio got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 43rd match minute, Estudiantes de la Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Frisco to maneuver through the defense. Estudiantes de la Plata's Igor Gilabert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kara-Murat Goiano in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severiano Cefero was the one to do the kick off. Estudiantes de la Plata's Igor Gilabert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Estudiantes de la Plata from getting a goal against them. In the 59th minute, Benigno Claus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aaron Lizardi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Igor Gilabert made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de la Plata's zone, Aaron Lizardi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Gilabert came out of the goal and Aaron Lizardi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Estudiantes de la Plata defense, Aaron Lizardi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Igor Gilabert. The Estudiantes de la Plata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Igor Gilabert should have stopped the shot. 78 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de la Plata's goalkeeper Igor Gilabert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aaron Lizardi. Fausto Weterio kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Elias Emeterio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Estudiantes de la Plata's Igor Gilabert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Emeterio in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute Funebrero FC were awarded a corner. German Tallia went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Funebrero FC's Benigno Claus getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Elias Emeterio might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Igor Gilabert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elias Emeterio ran back to his position shaking his head. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Igor Gilabert successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Elias Emeterio scored 0-9 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Igor Gilabert, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over Funebrero FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Estudiantes de la Plata throughout the match.
