In the 11th minute of the match Pan FC got a corner. Estudiantes de la Plata's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Esteve Cordarrel ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Nelson Hawley managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 14 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Urtzi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Igor Gilabert. Estudiantes de la Plata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnaldo Urtzi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Arnaldo Urtzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnaldo Urtzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Gilabert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Igor Gilabert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Urtzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Arnaldo Urtzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. The audience was convinced that Arnaldo Urtzi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Gilabert was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The Estudiantes de la Plata players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pan FC were winning 0-7.

Pan FC's Eriberto Bakar was substituted for Primitivo Laurendi. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severiano Cefero to make the kick off. Igor Gilabert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaldo Urtzi in the 53rd minute. After 53 played minutes Arnaldo Urtzi rounded Estudiantes de la Plata's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-8. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 0-9 when Arnaldo Urtzi sped through Estudiantes de la Plata's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Igor Gilabert. The crowd rose to their feet as Arnaldo Urtzi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Igor Gilabert. That made the score 0-10 in the 60 minute of play. Igor Gilabert had great luck who in the 70thth minute grab hold of the ball when Eriberto Bakar from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Igor Gilabert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 许明卫's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. 许明卫 received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Igor Gilabert came out and tried to block the shot, but 许明卫 slotted it home off the left post making it 0-12 in the 76th minute. After 79 minutes of play, Pan FC's 许明卫 made it 0-13 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Igor Gilabert was left in no man's land by his defense there! Beltrán De Filippo hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when 许明卫 got free with Igor Gilabert in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 许明卫 didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-14 via right post in the game's 87th minute. Pan FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! 94 minutes into the game, 许明卫 recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Igor Gilabert. 许明卫 showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-16. Sixto Raymond was extremely unlucky when he, in the 97th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.
