The coaching staff of berretaweres protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Enrique Vidal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Sing Mano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Alberto Pernambucano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Isidoro Playo kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Higinio Porfiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Haimar, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolás Veloso in the 41st minute of play forced LA MAQUINA F.C's goalkeeper Higinio Porfiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
