The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Naohiro Takahara. C. A. Atlanta's Tony Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Cisco in the 9th minute of play. When Frontera AFC's Silvestre Cisco in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C. A. Atlanta's goalie prevented a goal. Everardo Rio hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Tony Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naohiro Takahara, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute, Rodrigo Palacio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 17 in the game by Silvestre Cisco from a close distance when the talented Tony Guimarães managed to make a qualified save. C. A. Atlanta's players were relieved. Everardo Rio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustín Rossi having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, C. A. Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Manex to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvestre Cisco in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Guimarães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Frontera AFC's Agustín Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Rio in the 39th minute of play. Tony Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Cisco in the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Primo in the 45th minute of play forced Frontera AFC's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro Primo to make the kick off. Tony Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naohiro Takahara, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Agustín Rossi made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Teodoro Primo sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvestre Cisco in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Guimarães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 59th minute, Silvestre Cisco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tony Guimarães was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Marcos Rojo hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. A collision led to Frontera AFC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Luis Advíncula hit a great ball. With his leg Agustín Rossi managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when C. A. Atlanta's Teodoro Primo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Silvestre Cisco sped through C. A. Atlanta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tony Guimarães. Silvestre Cisco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aquiles Manex hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Frontera AFC's Silvestre Cisco tried to score from far away in the 73rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Palacio in the 75th minute of play forced C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 赵国弘 during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 82 played minutes C. A. Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by 赵国弘. Tony Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Cisco in the 84th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvestre Cisco in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Guimarães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Alan Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquiles Manex's late challenge caught a Frontera AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aquiles Manex helped the player get up and apologised. After 90 played minutes C. A. Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Manex. Frontera AFC's Silvestre Cisco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tony Guimarães in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Frontera AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of C. A. Atlanta for a fine match.
