After a rather tough play, Congo Bongo's Omar Erramun got a free kick in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Damaso Sancho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Javier Abin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Damaso Sancho did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Javier Abin 54 minutes into the match.
