Songurhan Mete started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, OROTINENSE's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Palacio came free, but Liu Yong Yong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 4th minute Songurhan Mete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Talamanca in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, OROTINENSE's Ruhi Uluöz got a free kick in the 14th minute. OROTINENSE's Liu Yong Yong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save OROTINENSE from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Frontera AFC defense, Jacek Walczak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Agustín Rossi. The Frontera AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Agustín Rossi should have stopped the shot. Liu Yong Yong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naohiro Takahara, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute Naohiro Takahara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liu Yong Yong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Naohiro Takahara in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Liu Yong Yong prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, OROTINENSE's Liu Yong Yong got control of the ball when Silvestre Cisco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Liu Yong Yong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naohiro Takahara, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After 30 played minutes Frontera AFC got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Cisco. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Talamanca in the 40th minute of play. Liu Yong Yong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Palacio in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Frontera AFC's Rodrigo Palacio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Liu Yong Yong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With 47 minutes on the clock, Parvan Hadzhipetkov commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 46 minutes into the game, one of OROTINENSE:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Frontera AFCs' Liu Yong Yong made a terrific save as he just managed to stop Silvestre Ciscos penalty just before it crossed the line at his left post. 51 minutes had been played when some careless play by OROTINENSE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Silvestre Cisco was slow to take the kick. During this time Frontera AFC's players had a chance to rest. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Frontera AFC made a substitution. Gonzalo Pacifico replaced Celso Betadur. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Naohiro Takahara to strike the kick off in the second half. Liu Yong Yong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Cisco in the 58th minute of the match. After 61 minutes, Ruhi Uluöz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the OROTINENSE and the Frontera AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st match minute, OROTINENSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruhi Uluöz to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Frontera AFC booed when OROTINENSE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruhi Uluöz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, OROTINENSE's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Cisco came free, but Liu Yong Yong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. OROTINENSE's David Talamanca was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Agustín Rossi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 80 minutes into the match, OROTINENSE's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Palacio came free, but Liu Yong Yong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. OROTINENSE's Leonel Cisneros was substituted for Jesus Cortez. OROTINENSE made a substitution. Iordache Opincaru replaced Songurhan Mete. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Minor Talamanca during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
