The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zeca Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amílton Urbano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florin Cernea's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 14th minute Zeca Rosado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codruț Răchită saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Codruț Răchită took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeca Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Giuseppe Arantes fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BRASIL.Sp's protests and gave Giuseppe Arantes a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, BRASIL.Sp's José Vítor Marinho got a free kick in the 18th minute. Florin Cernea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Amílton Urbano made a huge save. Giuseppe Arantes hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Zeca Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Florin Cernea sped through BRASIL.Sp's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amílton Urbano. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Vítor Marinho during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to BRASIL.Sp getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. José Vítor Marinho hit a great ball. Valentin Boldur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Urbano having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Valentin Boldur made a precise shot to the right of Amílton Urbano. BRASIL.Sp's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Luciano Tinoco hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. LIVERPOOL FC's Gavril Ţintă was substituted for Iurie Maniu. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Florin Cernea was the one to do the kick off. Traian Blidaru struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Amílton Urbano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LIVERPOOL FC. A collision led to BRASIL.Sp getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Zeca Rosado hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, LIVERPOOL FC's Florin Cernea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amílton Urbano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind BRASIL.Sp's goalkeeper Amílton Urbano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 68 played minutes BRASIL.Sp got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Ferraz. Adrian Stanomir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Amílton Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Martins in the 87th minute of play forced LIVERPOOL FC's goalkeeper Codruț Răchită to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Codruț Răchită was a little too slow when Zeca Rosado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 3-1. LIVERPOOL FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
