In the 10th match minute, Vestegnens Betonhelte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svend Blomner to maneuver through the defense. Handi Ball made an important save on a dangerous shot by Balázs Berta in the 11th minute. A collision led to Gyál United getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Zsolt Kaszás hit a great ball. Handi Ball showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from László Medgyesi in the 40th minute of the match. László Medgyesi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Balázs Berta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Handi Ball. The goal made the score 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for László Medgyesi to strike the kick off in the second half. Handi Ball took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Balázs Berta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
