The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolf van Goetsenhoven got free with Handi Ball in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Vestegnens Betonhelte's Handi Ball got control of the ball when Adolf van Goetsenhoven tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reinaud De Schutter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabe Gaab's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Reinaud De Schutter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Hornbech, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Vestegnens Betonhelte's goal looked a bit too open when Adolf van Goetsenhoven came free, but Handi Ball reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute of the match Gunter Van Linthaudt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Handi Ball skillfully saved the ball. Harry Borgaa hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, KFC Paal-Tervant's Luka Dams dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 24 minutes into the match, KFC Paal-Tervant's goal looked a bit too open when Mik Ersking came free, but Reinaud De Schutter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Handi Ball made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adolf van Goetsenhoven in the 26th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilian Weynants during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, KFC Paal-Tervant's Gilian Weynants got a free kick in the 29th minute. Reinaud De Schutter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mik Ersking went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of KFC Paal-Tervant booed when Vestegnens Betonhelte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Borgaa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, KFC Paal-Tervant's Gunter Van Linthaudt tried to score from far away in the 37th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Bartjan Parmentier might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Handi Ball. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bartjan Parmentier ran back to his position shaking his head. Luka Dams struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Handi Ball didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Paal-Tervant. Thanks to some nice moves Adolf van Goetsenhoven could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Handi Ball however easily saved by the left post. Gunter Van Linthaudt kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. In the 48th minute of the match Ture Vellis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reinaud De Schutter skillfully saved the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tony Elborne made a kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 51 minutes into the game, when Gunter Van Linthaudt put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Vestegnens Betonhelte booed when KFC Paal-Tervant was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunter Van Linthaudt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reinaud De Schutter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Hornbech in the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, KFC Paal-Tervant's Andris Ceroux got a free kick in the 55th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Andris Ceroux was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KFC Paal-Tervant's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vestegnens Betonhelte the free kick. After 58 played minutes KFC Paal-Tervant got a freekick which was hit by Andris Ceroux. 61 minutes into the match, Luka Dams notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Vestegnens Betonhelte's Handi Ball. Handi Ball was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Reinaud De Schutter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augustus Tarpø in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute Adolf van Goetsenhoven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Handi Ball saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Elborne in the 74th minute of play forced KFC Paal-Tervant's goalkeeper Reinaud De Schutter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luka Dams might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Handi Ball. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luka Dams ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 82nd minute, Bartjan Parmentier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Mik Ersking had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reinaud De Schutter. KFC Paal-Tervant's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mik Ersking was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Adolf van Goetsenhoven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Handi Ball having to interfere. Reinaud De Schutter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Hornbech, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
