The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chiquinho Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldir Romero in the 10th minute of the match. Chiquinho Borges made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waldir Romero in the 12th minute. In the 15th minute, Márcio Guedes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandro Domingues during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Ogro F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro Domingues to maneuver through the defense. Delfim Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Domingues in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ogro F.C.'s Durvalino Abraão got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Conrado Paraibano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chiquinho Borges read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, DENVER™'s goal looked a bit too open when João Francisco Alagoano came free, but Delfim Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. DENVER™'s Delfim Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Domingues in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Celsinho de Almeida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ogro F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DENVER™ the free kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sandro Domingues to make the kick off. Chiquinho Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldir Romero in the 51st minute of the match. Delfim Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Francisco Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Márcio Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquinho Borges having to interfere. Chiquinho Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Márcio Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Waldir Romero's late challenge caught a Ogro F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waldir Romero helped the player get up and apologised. Márcio Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Chiquinho Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of DENVER™ booed when Ogro F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chiquinho Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio Guedes in the 75th minute of the match. Adrianinho Negri's late challenge caught a Ogro F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrianinho Negri helped the player get up and apologised. After 82 played minutes DENVER™ got a freekick which was hit by Waldir Romero. Chiquinho Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldir Romero in the 87th minute of the match. Chiquinho Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramón Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, DENVER™'s goalkeeper Delfim Bastos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sandro Domingues. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ogro F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for DENVER™.
