Toninho Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kléber Pernambucano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the game, Waldir Romero recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wiliam Favoretto. Waldir Romero showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Thanks to some nice moves Waldir Romero could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Wiliam Favoretto however easily saved by the left post. Kléber Pernambucano struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Toninho Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Classe A Futebol Clube. The audience thought a goal was coming when Márcio Guedes got free with Wiliam Favoretto in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the DENVER™ defense, Kléber Pernambucano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Toninho Pinheiro. The DENVER™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Toninho Pinheiro should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Márcio Guedes made a kick off. Classe A Futebol Clube's Wiliam Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Vinhas in the 50th minute of play. After 51 minutes, Luís Eduardo Araújo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DENVER™ and the Classe A Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Classe A Futebol Clube booed when DENVER™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Eduardo Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Classe A Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Eugênio Peres hit a great ball. In the 55th minute of the match Conrado Paraibano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wiliam Favoretto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Toninho Pinheiro made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Váldson Mazza sent off a good shot on target. In the 58thth minute of the game Kléber Pernambucano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DENVER™'s Toninho Pinheiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Waldir Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Classe A Futebol Clube's Ramiro Fonseca got a free kick in the 67th minute. Wiliam Favoretto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldir Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Vinhas in the 73rd minute of play forced Classe A Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Wiliam Favoretto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
