With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar Paraíba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Capibaribe Stars's Edgar Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Maranhense in the 6th minute of play. Primatas FC's Rubens Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oscar dos Santos in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cancelo Gol, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gildo Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Lúcio Maranhense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Primatas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 28 minutes into the match, Capibaribe Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Maranhense came free, but Edgar Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Maranhense in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Fiori Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Capibaribe Stars's Edgar Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Maranhense in the 33rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Primatas FC defense, Oscar dos Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cancelo Gol. The Primatas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cancelo Gol should have stopped the shot. Edgar Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubens Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lúcio Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Paraíba having to interfere. Gildo Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.

51 minutes into the match, Primatas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar dos Santos came free, but Cancelo Gol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Primatas FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Mazinho Cabral hit a great ball. Cancelo Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar dos Santos in the 58th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Lúcio Maranhense made a precise shot to the right of Edgar Paraíba. Capibaribe Stars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Primatas FC's Baltazar Nascimento was substituted for Gilmar Cabral. Primatas FC's Arlindo Madureira was substituted for Tiago Fantini. The crowd rose to their feet as Baltazar Nascimento kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edgar Paraíba. That made the score 1-3 in the 69 minute of play. Primatas FC's Lúcio Maranhense got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Capibaribe Stars's Edgar Paraíba got control of the ball when Lúcio Maranhense tried to sneak it across the goal line. During the 76th minute of the match Váldson de Sena completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Váldson de Sena a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Váldson de Sena hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Edgar Paraíba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lúcio Maranhense. In the 84th match minute, Capibaribe Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabinho Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Prestes in the 86th minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Edgar Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Paraíba didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 87th minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. 91 minutes into the match, Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Edgar Paraíba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lúcio Maranhense.
