Florea Borromeo kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. If Tiago Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Blumenau Esporte Clube's zone, Charles Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vivaldo Paraíba came out of the goal and Charles Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Charles Garcia came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Garcia couldn't finish the play. Dito Garcia's late challenge caught a CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dito Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute, Dito Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute, Haroldo de Carvalho made a precise shot to the right of Vivaldo Paraíba. Blumenau Esporte Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 26 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goalkeeper Davi Tande had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Délio Gerber. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Vivaldo Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Garcia in the 36th minute of play. Davi Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

55 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Délio Gerber came free, but Davi Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Davi Tande was left in no man's land by his defense there!
