In the 33rd match minute, Gurdurão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, Gurdurão's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl do Valle came free, but Narciso Donatello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anísio Paraibano to make the kick off. Naldo Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Leonardo Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Leopoldo Vidal fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gurdurão's protests and gave Leopoldo Vidal a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Gurdurão's Leopoldo Vidal got a free kick in the 64th minute. Nada Pontual F.C's Walmyr Tasso got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leandro Varela's late challenge caught a Gurdurão's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leandro Varela helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute, Leandro Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, Anísio Paraibano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Raúl do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Vítor Dionísio's late challenge caught a Nada Pontual F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
