The supporters of Gurdurão booed when Imbituba - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diguinho Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Gurdurão defense, Cristóvão Linares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narciso Donatello. The referee showed Diamantino Sergipano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rodriguinho de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anísio Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Gurdurão's Narciso Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Catarinense in the 52nd minute of play. Rubens Vale hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Narciso Donatello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Linares, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Cristóvão Linares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Narciso Donatello. Gurdurão's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristóvão Linares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 72ndth minute of the game Cristóvão Linares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gurdurão's Narciso Donatello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aloísio Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodriguinho de Queirós made an important save on a dangerous shot by Naldo Viana in the 78th minute. Rubens Vale hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Gurdurão's Narciso Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Catarinense in the 86th minute of play. Narciso Donatello came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Imbituba - FSCMZ's Cristóvão Linares. But to his dismay, Cristóvão Linares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. A collision led to Gurdurão getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Matías Machado hit a great ball. Bruninho Novaes charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruninho Novaes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Imbituba - FSCMZ fully deserved thier win.
