The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Frederico Smith was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Dudu Ferreira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dudu Ferreira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Clube do Remo MZ's Frederico Smith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl do Valle in the 8th minute of play. Dudu Ferreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Frederico Smith made a huge save. Raúl Bezerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frederico Smith having to make a save. Frederico Smith didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 16th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. 19 minutes into the match, Nada Pontual F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Edinho Vasconcelos came free, but Leonardo Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Clube do Remo MZ booed when Nada Pontual F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Augusto Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonardo Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Ricardinho Simão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonardo Marques was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Walmyr Tasso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Frederico Smith came out and tried to block the shot, but Walmyr Tasso slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 30th minute. Dudu Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Smith having to interfere. Frederico Smith showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúl Bezerra in the 38th minute of the match. Gernando Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. When Edinho Vasconcelos fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube do Remo MZ's protests and gave Edinho Vasconcelos a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Clube do Remo MZ got a freekick which was hit by Edinho Vasconcelos. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Raúl do Valle took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Frederico Smith to make any attempt to save it.

Ian Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ian Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Nada Pontual F.C's Ian Queiroz got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute, Dudu Ferreira made a precise shot to the right of Frederico Smith. Clube do Remo MZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. In the 64th minute, Raúl do Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Walmyr Tasso took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frederico Smith. Frederico Smith dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. Dudu Ferreira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frederico Smith having to make a save. Leonardo Marques made an important save on a dangerous shot by Naldo da Cunha in the 78th minute. A nice corner shot did that Cauã Rocha got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Leonardo Marques quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 82nd match minute, Clube do Remo MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Simão in the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Clube do Remo MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Dudu Ferreira came free, but Frederico Smith reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clube do Remo MZ's Frederico Smith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Vianna in the 89th minute of play. Frederico Smith made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Bezerra in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Raúl do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Marques acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 94th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gernando Maciel. When the referee ended the match the Nada Pontual F.C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
