Wilson Vianna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guilherme Souza went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After the first half Imbituba - FSCMZ were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Galon Damašas to make the kick off. Ronaldo Antunes's late challenge caught a Imbituba - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronaldo Antunes helped the player get up and apologised. Guilherme Souza took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Vianna. Wilson Vianna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Sérgio de Sena got a free kick in the 56th minute. The referee ordered Ronaldo Antunes off the ground. If Guilherme Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilson Vianna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Souza in the 64th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Guilherme Souza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wilson Vianna, 0-3. Wilson Vianna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guilherme Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Guilherme Souza was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The supporters of Gurdurão booed when Imbituba - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dagoberto Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Imbituba - FSCMZ played a much better game than Gurdurão and deserved their victory. The Gurdurão players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
