After a rather tough play, America Futebol Clube SP's Paulão Berger got a free kick in the 27th minute. Fausto de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcinho Fonseca having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Mamutes EC's goalkeeper Marcinho Fonseca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedrinho Figueiredo. Marcinho Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Marcinho Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilton Sanches in the 40th minute of play. Jorginho Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Kauã Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The wind increased when Nicolas Souza made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes America Futebol Clube SP got a freekick which was hit by Paulão Berger. Marcinho Fonseca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicolas Souza went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in America Futebol Clube SP's zone, Dé Lira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nildo Lara came out of the goal and Dé Lira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dé Lira in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nildo Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alexsandro da Silveira hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Pedrinho Figueiredo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mamutes EC's Marcinho Fonseca didn't even have to move. Silas Pena charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silas Pena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of America Futebol Clube SP booed when Mamutes EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silas Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Silas Pena recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nildo Lara. Silas Pena showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. America Futebol Clube SP's Nildo Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni Porto in the 80th minute of play. America Futebol Clube SP's Nildo Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save America Futebol Clube SP from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd match minute, America Futebol Clube SP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Trigo to maneuver through the defense. Dé Lira hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. America Futebol Clube SP's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
