The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Hélder Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, America Futebol Clube SP's goal looked a bit too open when Chiquinho Sergipano came free, but Nildo Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raúl de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Chiquinho Sergipano took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nildo Lara. Nildo Lara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Souza in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raúl de Amaral saved Mestre GG from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Souza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raúl de Amaral was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. In the 31st match minute, Mestre GG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Baiano to maneuver through the defense. Pedrinho Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Mestre GG's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrinho Figueiredo came free, but Raúl de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

America Futebol Clube SP's Nildo Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Seco in the 51st minute of play. 52 minutes into the match, Gildo Sá had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nildo Lara. America Futebol Clube SP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gildo Sá was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The supporters of Mestre GG booed when America Futebol Clube SP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodriguinho Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicolas Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raúl de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiori Campidelis in the 71st minute of play forced America Futebol Clube SP's goalkeeper Nildo Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd match minute, America Futebol Clube SP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dadá da Silva to maneuver through the defense. Nildo Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Seco in the 75th minute of the match. Nicolas Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kauã Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute of the match, Hélder Almeida tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Raúl de Amaral saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 86 minutes of play, America Futebol Clube SP's Hélder Almeida made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raúl de Amaral was left in no man's land by his defense there! 89 minutes into the match, America Futebol Clube SP's goal looked a bit too open when Fiori Campidelis came free, but Nildo Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mestre GG's zone, Pedrinho Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raúl de Amaral came out of the goal and Pedrinho Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Mestre GG could leave the field as winners, despite America Futebol Clube SP having more of the ball for most of the match.
