Genílson Quintal's late challenge caught a Mamutes EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genílson Quintal helped the player get up and apologised. After 8 played minutes Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Genílson Quintal. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Cacá Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Dito Rezende struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Rafael Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mamutes EC:s goal. Dé Lira placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 25th minute Flavinho Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dé Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Sousa having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Queirós in the 29th minute of play forced Mamutes EC's goalkeeper Rafael Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Dé Lira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mamutes EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ the free kick. A collision led to Mamutes EC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Dé Lira hit a great ball. Rafael Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dito Rezende in the 32nd minute of play. Dé Lira hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Armando Orange during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elano Maciel helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ booed when Mamutes EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position.
