America Futebol Clube SP's Fausto de Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 史义升 hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Rodriguinho Varela hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in 沛水龙城's zone, Pedrinho Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 庄轩坤 came out of the goal and Pedrinho Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the 沛水龙城 defense, Pedrinho Figueiredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 庄轩坤. The 沛水龙城 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 庄轩坤 should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Pedrinho Figueiredo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of 庄轩坤. 沛水龙城's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedrinho Figueiredo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After a rather tough play, America Futebol Clube SP's Sérgio Trigo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Reginaldo Novaes charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reginaldo Novaes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 34 minutes into the match, America Futebol Clube SP's goal looked a bit too open when 曾坚银 came free, but Nildo Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nildo Lara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 曾坚银 went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 37 minutes into the match, 严海磊 dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nildo Lara, 3-2. Nildo Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 邵镇宁 in the 43rd minute of play. If Pedrinho Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

After 53 played minutes America Futebol Clube SP got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho Figueiredo. 55 minutes into the match, 沛水龙城's goalkeeper 庄轩坤 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedrinho Figueiredo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto de Souza in the 58th minute of play forced 沛水龙城's goalkeeper 庄轩坤 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When 沛水龙城's 邵镇宁 in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With 95 minutes on the clock, Sérgio Trigo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 沛水龙城 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
